Anti Ageing & Skin Lightening Vitamin C Cream | Erases Wrinkles, Scars & Blemishes. In this video, I wanted to share a wonderful skin lightening vitamin C cream. This cream lightens all scars and blemishes really well. Since this cream is full of antioxidants, it fights off free radicals preventing
premature ageing of the skin.
VITAMIN C CREAM SKIN AND FACE BENEFITS:
In my personal opinion, vitamin C based creams and serums are the best for fading blemishes including melasma, dark spots, acne scars and pigmentation. The best thing about this cream is it gets absorbed into the skin immediately giving a radiant glow to our skin. This cream has got only three ingredients -flax seeds, vegetable glycerin and fresh orange juice. I wanted to use flaxseed gel for making this cream as it has a very very soothing effect on our skin. It also helps hydrate and soften our skin really well. Fresh orange juice fades scars and has very powerful anti-aging properties. Both consuming vitamin C rich foods and applying it externally will help. I’ve used vegetable glycerin for this recipe and though it’s expensive than synthetic glycerin, I would suggest using only vegetable glycerin for best results. Glycerin is a humectant and will help hydrate the skin well.
VITAMIN C CREAM RECIPE:
To make the flaxseed gel, take one and half tablespoons of flax seeds along with 1/2 cup of water in a bowl. Boil for eight to 10 minutes in low to medium flame, stirring often to prevent the flaxseeds sticking to the bottom of the pan. Once the mixture thickens and gels, switch off. Let cool the mixture and pour it over a thin muslin cloth. Now bring the ends of the cloth together and squeeze with your hands nicely to extract the gel completely. The consistency of the vitamin C cream will depend on the thickness of the flaxseed gel.
To make the cream, take a tablespoon of flaxseed gel in a bowl. Add in quarter teaspoon of vegetable glycerin to it. Finally add in a teaspoon of freshly extracted orange juice. Now mix well with a spoon. You will get a smooth gel like cream that smells of fresh oranges. Pour this cream into a bottle and store it immediately in the fridge. To use, take little bit of the cream and apply all over the face and neck. It will get absorbed into the skin immediately. I like to use this cream as a night cream. If stored in the fridge, it’ll last well for a week so always make small batches. If the gel is too runny, the cream also will be very runny so please make sure to boil it till thick. The recipe I have given is for dry skin, for oily skin follow the same recipe but use 1/8 teaspoon of vegetable glycerin instead.
