In this video, I lead you through the 1st section of the Tai Chi short form. There are 7 sections total in the form. During this class, I teach this first section without the footwork or stepping. We focus entirely on the arm postures and movements so that we can automate some of those details without having to remember the weight shifting, footwork, and transition of the form. This approach also allows us to face each other and see exactly what the hands are supposed to be doing. This makes a big difference as you try to remember learn and remember the Tai Chi form!
